Welcome
Kentone Communications is a free information kiosk located at the corner of N. Bayard Avenue and N. Kentone Court, in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland. Housed in a former St. Johns Telephone & Telegraph curbside kiosk, it is maintained as a no-cost public service.
What’s available at the kiosk
Dial the number posted at the kiosk to reach the menu. A few highlights:
- Local movie showtimes, with film details and synopses
- Weather forecast for North Portland
- Spoken date and time announcements
- A nearby aircraft tracker, with a live PDX tower air traffic feed while you listen
- A rotating community news segment
- Quick transfers to 211, 311, the library, TriMet, and other community resources
- A line for recording comments to Portland City Council members, delivered to their office
